How to Fix Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry High Disk Usage Issue

Fix Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry High Disk Usage Issue

You might have found certain minor lags while starting your Windows 10 PC. These might be due to 50% disk usage used by Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry services.

In Windows 10, Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry or Compat_Tel_Runner.exe is a Windows OS file responsible for different kinds of processes taking place in the system. So don’t worry much as the file is not malicious but sometimes this file may use a large amount of your disk and CPU.

This file has some technical data of your system that is being sent to Microsoft for security and other purposes. Each time you restart your system, the file runs automatically.

To overcome this problem we have got four different solutions for you as in case the first or the other doesn’t work for you.  All of them are described below.
