one plus 6t review

One Plus is playing aggressively in the Android smartphone market with its aggressive pricing, high-end features and more. In mere six months, One Plus came with the successor of the humongous hit smartphone One Plus 6. The new one is called One Plus 6T which came in last quarter of 2018.

As per One Plus itself, they believe that the ‘T’ variants are the new tech devices with upgradation to the predecessor. Though One Plus 6T doesn’t get major updates, still in-display fingerprint sensor and waterdrop notch will count.

With the same tech under the hood, One Plus 6T tried to enhance their excellent product with more noticeable upgrading. The One Plus 6T gets an in-display fingerprint reader known as Screen Unlock, the notch is diminished and turns to waterdrop notch, a massive 3,700mAh battery and more. The One Plus 6 was really an excellent device and people feel that there was no need to bring up One Plus 6T with no major upgrades. But, that’s how it is- One Plus 6T is more advanced. Its predecessor doesn’t have this notch. The OnePlus 6T unlocks in 0.34s for a seamless and intuitive unlock experience

Under the hood sits a 2.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor which is paired up with 6GB RAM and onboard 128GB storage. It also has other two variants with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and also one with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The device performs incredibly well- No complaints so far. In terms of gaming, the device is packed with Adreno 630 GPU. There are no complaints in the gaming niche too as you can play heavy games with no lags.

In terms of daylight and low lighting, the camera does a great job. You won’t feel any shutter lag and stuff. Overall, a perfect click is what you will get from this phone. But, if you compare its camera with Google Pixel 3 and Samsung Note 9, it is slightly behind than them.
There is a massive 3,700mAh lithium-polymer battery with Fast Charge technology in the One Plus 6T. Fast charging is brilliant in the device you can get 65 percent in up to 40-45 minutes of charge. Also, One Plus 6T battery has a 23% increase in the size against the predecessor.

Other features

One Plus 6T runs Android 9.0 Pie out of the box pairing with OnePlus’s OxygenOS 9 UI. The connectivity and sensor functions include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, USB Type-C, Active 4G on both SIM cards, 3G and 4G, Face unlock, Fingerprint sensor, Compass/ Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, and Gyroscope.

One Plus 6T is a great device to have at the price bracket of Rs. 40,000. It will serve all the purpose with its high-end features and is a great competition to Samsung’s, Google’s flagship devices. There are many good things about the phone- form its screen, processor, new technologies integration, and All-day battery life. But, the slow fingerprint sensor, no IP rating, wireless charging, or 3.5mm jack will go against this device’s good books.
Long put short, a great device in this budget which will serve the exact purpose of the high-end devices.
